Plan your interaction

Why online audiences drift, and what helps
On a screen, nothing stops someone opening their inbox. The sessions that hold attention give people a reason to take part early, change the rhythm every few minutes and make the audience visible to itself: a poll result, a stream of answers in the chat, a question from a colleague.
This planner builds that rhythm into your running order. It places the first interaction in the opening minutes, spaces the rest through the talk, and gives the moderator and host the exact words to use, so nobody is improvising while the clock runs.
Who does what
| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Host | Opens, sets expectations, introduces the speaker and closes with the next step. |
| Speaker | Delivers the keynote and leads the planned interactions inside the talk. |
| Moderator | Watches chat and Q&A, groups questions by theme and puts the best ones to the speaker. |
| Producer | Runs the platform: polls, slides, captions, recording and the fallback plan. |
In a small event one person can cover two roles, but keep the moderator separate from the speaker. Nobody can talk to camera and read a fast-moving chat at the same time.
Then rehearse it
Run every poll and prompt in the technical rehearsal on the real platform. Check what attendees see, who can launch each poll and what happens if a feature fails.
